Creating Your Character
On the Darkeden menu screen, click the Connect button. After you have correctly entered the Account ID and the password, click connect button.

Select a world. A world is the upper level of a server. You can create up to three characters per world.
Currently, one worlds, “Transylvania”, is independently run in Darkeden. Once you have selected a world, click the arrow button in the lower right corner of the screen to move on to the next step.

Select the server you wish to play in. While each server is independently run, all data within the game is shared. For example, although a character created in the Transylvania world cannot be played in the othter world, a character created on the "Rune" server of the Transylvania world can be played on the "Rakia" server.
Once you have selected your server, either click on the arrow at the bottom of the screen or press Enter to move on to character generation.

You can create up to three characters. Click the Create button at the bottom of the screen to create your character.

The character generation screen is comprised of Name, Race, Gender, Face Type, Hair Color, and Skin Color windows, and attribute-related buttons such as Save, Load, and Reroll.

Description |
| Name |
This is the name that your character will go by in the game. Once you have decided on the name, click the Check button to confirm the availability of that name. |
| Race |
You can choose to be a Slayer, Vampire or Ousters. |
| Gender |
This determines the gender of your character. Once you have selected a gender, click the arrow button below the Face Type windows too choose a face for your character. Dark Eden supports three face types each for male and female characters. |
| Hair & Skin |
Choose the hair and skin color for your character. The colors will be displayed on your character in the small window to the left. You can only choose skin color for a vampire character. |
| Attributes |
You can freely adjust the attributes of your character. However, a new character cannot STR, DEX, and INT totalling over 30 points, and each attribute must be minimum 5. Click Reroll to determine the character attributes to your preference, then click Save to save the attributes. Click Load to recall the attributes. |
